Bee Time on the 24th

Here are a few pictures of the honey extraction. Our new tradition is to take some honey on the 24th of July--in celebration of the pioneers and all their hard work. This year, from the one hive, we extracted 52.5 pounds. More to come in September.

Are you freaking kidding me? 52.5 pounds? How many gallons is that - 227? Or are you guys just filling the one honey bear while swapping out every member of the family.

Wish we lived close for just one more reason now.
